following on from the companies’ first blueprint, for a fleet of driverless delivery vans, toyota has again teamed up with pizza hut. this time the pair have actually built a zero-emission pickup with a robotic pizza-making factory in the truck bed. the vehicle, dubbed the tundra PIE pro, is programmed to have the pies freshly baked as you drive to your delivery destination.\the tundra PIE pro features a refrigerator, a pair of computer-guided articulating robotic arms from nachi robotics systems, and a portable, high-efficiency conveyor oven. like the truck itself, all kitchen components can be powered by hydrogen fuel cell electric powertrain. the company claims the automated pizza-making process takes about 6 to 7 minutes from start to finish. It also touts the vehicle’s zero-emission features, as the vehicle and all of its equipment are powered by a hydrogen-fuel-cell electric powertrain.when the process begins, the first robotic arm opens the refrigerator and removes the selected pizza, places it on the oven conveyor, and returns to close the refrigerator door. a second robot arm transfers the finished pie onto a cutting board, divides the pizza into six pieces, and slides it into a pizza box. those who want to catch a look at the pizza hut ....
